The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the Class 10 and 12 board exam marking scheme on its official website. The maximum mark for each subject is 100, divided among practical exams, theory exams, and internal assessments.

CBSE has issued an official notification urging schools to provide clear marking schemes, as many have made mistakes in uploading marks for practical/project/internal assessments. The notification provides a list of subjects for Classes 10 and 12 with detailed marking guidelines.

For Class 10 students, internal assessments carry 20 marks for subjects like Science, Maths, Hindi, Social Science, and English.

For Class 12 students, practical exams carry 30 marks for subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, and Physical Education, among others.

Candidates can check the marking scheme for their respective subjects on the official CBSE website. The board has released the marking scheme for all 83 subjects.

The theory exams for Class 10 and 12 will commence on February 15, 2024, and the practical exams will commence on January 1, 2024, according to the CBSE 2024 datesheet.
