DU Faculty Selection Process 2024

The University of Delhi (DU) follows a two-stage selection process to recruit faculty members, ensuring that only highly qualified candidates are selected. Here’s an overview of the selection process:

1. Shortlisting Process

  • Initial Evaluation: Candidates applying for Assistant Professor roles will be evaluated based on a 100-point scale to determine their eligibility.
  • Screening Committee: A committee will assess all applications, assigning research scores and shortlisting candidates accordingly. The committee’s decision is final.

2. Shortlisting Criteria

  • Minimum Score: To be shortlisted, candidates must achieve at least 65 points. Candidates from SC/ST/PwBD categories are eligible for a 5-mark relaxation.
  • Candidate Selection: For the first vacancy, 30 candidates will be shortlisted. For each additional vacancy, 10 more candidates will be added. If multiple candidates score the same as the cutoff, all will be shortlisted for the interview.
  • Publication Requirement: Only publications indexed in the UGC CARE list or SCOPUS will count toward research scores.
