ITBP PST Details (Physical Standard Test)
The Physical Standard Test (PST) assesses candidates’ physical measurements, including height, chest (for males), and weight. Candidates who do not meet the required standards will be disqualified.
- Height Measurement: Must meet the specified standards.
- Chest Measurement (for males only): A minimum expansion of 5 cm is required.
- Weight: Should be proportionate to the candidate’s height and age, in accordance with medical standards.

Male Candidates
- Race: 1.6 km in 7.5 minutes
- Long Jump: 11 feet (3 chances)
- High Jump: 3.5 feet (3 chances)
Female Candidates
- Race: 800 meters in 4.5 minutes
- Long Jump: 9 feet (3 chances)
- High Jump: 3 feet (3 chances)
Exemptions
- Ex-servicemen are exempted from the PET but must appear for the Physical Standard Test (PST).
