- The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination 2026 on 19 July 2026. The exam is being held to fill 349 Group A Assistant Commandant posts in five forces: BSF (108 posts), CRPF (106 posts), CISF (70 posts), SSB (53 posts), and ITBP (12 posts). The official notification was released on 20 February 2026.
- Q2. How many vacancies are available in UPSC CAPF (ACs) Exam 2026?
- There are a total of 349 tentative vacancies in five Central Armed Police Forces. The distribution is: BSF – 108, CRPF – 106, CISF – 70, SSB – 53, and ITBP – 12 posts. The number of vacancies may change. Reservation will be given as per Government rules, and 10% of the vacancies are reserved for Ex-servicemen. Both male and female candidates can apply.

- The application fee is ₹200 for General, OBC, and EWS male candidates. Female candidates (all categories) and SC/ST candidates are exempted from paying the fee. OBC and EWS candidates do not get fee exemption. Payment must be made online through Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI. The fee once paid will not be refunded. Applications without payment (if applicable) will be rejected.
