UPTET 2026 Notification: The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission has released the UPTET 2026 Notification on 20 March 2026. The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) is required for candidates who want to become teachers for Primary (Class 1 to 5) and Upper Primary (Class 6 to 8) in government schools of Uttar Pradesh.
The online application process will start from 27 March 2026 and will continue till 26 April 2026. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official websites at https://uptet.upessc.org/otr/info/ or https://upessc.up.gov.in/
Candidates must meet eligibility conditions as per government rules
UPTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Paper-I (Classes 1 to 5): Candidates must have passed 12th class with at least 50% marks and completed a 4-year B.El.Ed course OR They should have a Bachelor’s degree along with D.Ed / Special D.Ed / B.El.Ed.
Paper-II (Classes 6 to 8): Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks and a 2-year D.El.Ed / B.Ed / Special B.Ed. OR They should have passed 12th class with at least 50% marks along with B.El.Ed / B.Sc.Ed / B.Sc B.Ed.
