Originally, the exam was scheduled for June 25 to 27, but it was postponed on June 21 due to unavoidable circumstances and logistical issues.

The Joint CSIR-UGC NET aims to evaluate the eligibility of Indian nationals for various academic and research opportunities. This includes qualifying for a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), eligibility for assistant professor positions, and admission to PhD programs. The exam is crucial for roles in Indian universities, colleges, and research institutions.
