DGQA Technician Recruitment 2026: The Directorate General of Quality Assurance (DGQA), Controllerate of Quality Assurance (Heavy Vehicles), Avadi, Chennai, under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has released a recruitment notification for Technician posts. A total of 15 vacancies are available for Technician (Semi-Skilled), Group ‘C’, Non-Ministerial, Industrial posts under Advertisement No. CQA(HV)/2026/Tech(SS). The DGQA Technician Recruitment 2026 notification was published in the Employment News edition dated 18–24 July 2026. Eligible and interested candidates are required to submit their applications through offline mode within 21 days from the date of publication of the advertisement.
Selected candidates will initially be appointed on a probation period of two years. The postings may be at Avadi (Chennai), Yeddumailaram (Telangana), or Meenambakkam (Chennai). However, selected candidates may be required to serve anywhere in India. Pay Scale Detaols
- Selected candidates will receive a salary under Pay Matrix Level-1 (₹18,000–₹56,900) as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. In addition to basic pay, candidates will be eligible for applicable benefits and allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, Children Education Allowance, Leave Travel Concession (LTC), medical facilities, CSD facilities, and other allowances or advances as per Government of India rules.
- Selected candidates will also be covered under the National Pension System (NPS) / Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) as applicable under existing Government of India rules.

How to Apply for DGQA Recruitment 2026
Candidates who want to apply for DGQA Technician Recruitment 2026 must submit their application through offline mode. Follow the steps given below:
- Download the prescribed offline application form (Appendix ‘A’ and ‘B’) from the official recruitment notification.
- Type the application neatly in English on A4-size paper as per the prescribed format.
- Attach self-attested copies of all required documents, including age proof, educational and technical qualification certificates, caste certificate, Aadhaar card, Ex-Servicemen discharge book, and other applicable certificates.
- Enclose a self-addressed envelope measuring 30 cm × 12 cm with a ₹55 postal stamp affixed for receiving the admit card.
- Affix a recent passport-size photograph at the specified places on the application form and admit cards.
- Write “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF TECHNICIAN (SEMI SKILLED) TRADE: __________, ESTABLISHMENT CODE: __________” clearly on the main envelope.
