Federal Bank has announced that applications for the Federal Bank Hormis Memorial Foundation Scholarships for the academic year 2024-25 are now open. Students pursuing higher education in select fields are encouraged to apply for this scholarship program, which honors the memory of the bank’s founder, Late KP Hormis.
Who Can Apply?
The scholarship is available to students admitted in the first year of the following courses:
- MBBS
- BE/BTech
- BSc Nursing
- MBA (full-time)
- BSc Agriculture
- BSc (Hons) Cooperation and Banking
Eligible Regions
Students from the states of Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Punjab, and Tamil Nadu can apply for the scholarship. Applicants must have secured admission based on merit in government, aided, government-recognized self-financing, or autonomous colleges.
Special Consideration for Certain Applicants
The scholarship also encourages applications from dependent wards of martyred armed forces personnel. Additionally, students with speech, vision, or hearing impairments are eligible to apply.
Application Process and Required Documents
Eligible students can apply through the Federal Bank Hormis Memorial Foundation Scholarship Portal. The application process requires submitting several documents, including:
- Admission letter
- Course fee structure
- Mark sheets
- Family income certificate, and more.
Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees and other educational expenses, up to a maximum of Rs 1 lakh per year. Additionally, students will be reimbursed for the purchase of one PC, laptop, or tablet during their course of study.
Selection Process
Applicants will be shortlisted based on their marks in the qualifying examination and income criteria. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview for document verification. The final list of eligible candidates will be published on the Federal Bank’s website.
