SSC CGL Exam Date & Admit Card 2026: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released the SSC CGL 2026 Notification on 21 May 2026 on its official website, ssc.gov.in. The recruitment exam is conducted to select eligible graduates for various Group B and Group C posts in central government ministries, departments and organizations. SSC CGL is one of the most popular government recruitment examinations in India for candidates seeking central government jobs. The online application process started on 21 May 2026 and continued until 22 June 2026. The SSC CGL Tier-1 CBT exam schedule has now been released, and the examination is scheduled to be conducted from 30 September to 30 October 2026 in multiple shifts across various examination centres.
Candidates who hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university are eligible to apply, subject to the post-wise eligibility requirements. The SSC CGL selection process includes multiple stages, including Tier-1, Tier-2 and Document Verification. Candidates who successfully qualify the required stages may be appointed to posts such as Income Tax Inspector, Assistant Section Officer, Auditor, Tax Assistant and other Group B and Group C positions in the central government.
