SSC JHT Result 2026: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC Combined Hindi Translators Examination (CHTE) 2026 Tier-1 Result on 05 November 2026. The recruitment is being conducted to fill various Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted posts, including Junior Hindi Translator (JHT), Junior Translation Officer (JTO), Senior Hindi Translator (SHT) and Senior Translation Officer (STO) in different Ministries and Departments of the Government of India. The Tier-1 written examination was conducted on 08 September 2026, and the Commission released the answer key on 21 September 2026. Candidates who appeared in the examination can now check their results and download the merit list PDF.
Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in Hindi or English, with the other language as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level. In addition, candidates must have either:
A recognized diploma / certificate in translation (Hindi ↔ English) OR
2 to 3 years of translation experience in government offices, depending on the post.

JTO, JT, and JHT Posts: Pay Level-6 with salary ranging from Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month.
STO and SHT Posts: Pay Level-7 with salary ranging from Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,42,400 per month.
