One Time Registration (OTR) is Mandatory
Candidates must complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process before applying for UPSSSC PET 2026. The OTR facility has been available on the UPSSSC website since 14 July 2026.
Candidates can apply for PET 2026 only after completing their OTR registration. Applications will be accepted through online mode only, and no offline application will be accepted.
Candidates who completed OTR using their PET 2025 registration number cannot change their name, date of birth, or mobile number. However, other permitted details can be edited. Candidates completing a new OTR cannot change their registered mobile number later, although other details may remain editable.
Once the PET 2026 registration number is generated, candidates will not be able to edit their OTR or application details. Therefore, all information should be checked carefully before final submission.
UPSSSC PET 2026 Application Fee

UPSSSC PET 2026 Age Limit
The age limit for UPSSSC PET 2026 is 18 to 40 years. The crucial date for calculating the age limit is 01 July 2026.
Age relaxation will be provided to eligible candidates according to the applicable government rules.
UPSSSC PET 2026 Vacancy and Qualification
PET itself is a qualifying examination, so vacancies are not announced directly through the PET notification. Post-wise vacancies will be released separately through individual recruitment notifications.

UPSSSC PET 2026 Selection Process
The UPSSSC PET 2026 selection process consists of the Preliminary Eligibility Test followed by shortlisting for individual recruitment examinations.
Candidates will first appear for the objective-type PET examination conducted through OMR or CBT mode. Based on their PET scores, eligible candidates will be shortlisted for post-specific Mains examinations. Document Verification will be conducted at the relevant stage of the respective recruitment process.
UPSSSC PET 2026 Exam Pattern
UPSSSC PET 2026 will consist of 100 objective-type questions carrying a total of 100 marks. Candidates will get 2 hours to complete the examination.
There will be negative marking of 1/4 mark for every incorrect answer.

The difficulty level of academic subjects from Sr. No. 1 to 9 will be based on the NCERT Secondary/Senior Secondary standard.
If the examination is conducted in multiple shifts or on different days due to a large number of applicants, UPSSSC will use a normalization process to ensure fair comparison of scores across different shifts.
The UPSSSC PET score will remain valid for three years from the date on which the result is declared or uploaded on the official website.
How to Apply for UPSSSC PET 2026
Candidates can follow these steps to submit the UPSSSC PET 2026 online application form:
- Visit the official UPSSSC website at upsssc.gov.in and complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process if not already registered.
- Log in using your OTR number or registered mobile number and generate an OTP.
- Enter the OTP and verification code. Your OTR details will automatically appear in the application form.
- Fill in the remaining required information, including Intermediate qualification, if applicable, marital status, EWS status, UP government employee status, freedom fighter dependent status, ex-serviceman status, sportsperson details, disability category, and applicable age relaxation.
- Read the declaration carefully, select “Yes,” enter the verification code, and click on the Submit button.
- After successful submission, note down the 11-digit registration number shown on the Registration Slip.
- Click on “Proceed for Payment” and pay the application fee through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI, or SBI e-Challan.
- After successful payment, download and print the final application form for future reference.
The UPSSSC PET 2026 application process will be considered complete only after successful payment of the prescribed fee and generation of the final application form.
