NTA UGC NET June 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key, question paper, and candidate response sheets for the UGC NET June 2026 examination on 16 August 2026. The examination was conducted to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor, and Ph.D. admissions under the UGC NET June 2026 notification.
The UGC NET June 2026 exam was held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode at various examination centres from 22 June to 30 June 2026, with a retest conducted on 5 July 2026. Candidates can now access their recorded responses and provisional answer key through the official NTA website. The online objection window has also opened from 16 August 2026.
Candidates can use the provisional answer key and response sheet to calculate their expected marks and assess their performance. If they find any incorrect answer or discrepancy in the provisional answer key, they can submit an online objection within the prescribed deadline. Candidates should provide valid academic evidence or supporting documents while challenging any question or answer.

NTA UGC NET June 2026 Selection Process
The result will be prepared on the basis of combined performance in both papers. Candidates will be placed in the following categories:
- JRF + Assistant Professor
- Assistant Professor + PhD Admission
- PhD Admission Only
For PhD admission, the UGC NET score will have 70% weightage, while the interview will carry 30% weightage.
