NTA UGC NET June 2026 Exam Date & Admit Card Released, Check Now
NTA UGC NET June 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an important update regarding the UGC NET June 2026 examination. UGC NET is a national-level examination conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for the posts of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in universities and colleges across India. The notification for UGC NET June 2026 was issued on 29 April 2026, and the online application process was conducted from 29 April to 23 May 2026. Later, the last date for submitting applications was extended until 24 May 2026.
The examination is scheduled to be conducted from 22 June to 30 June 2026 in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. NTA has also provided detailed information regarding eligibility criteria, exam pattern, and other important instructions in the official information bulletin. Candidates planning to appear for the examination are advised to carefully review all guidelines before the exam.
In a fresh update, the UGC NET June 2026 Subject-Wise Exam Date Schedule has been released on 6 June 2026. Candidates can now check their respective subject exam dates and prepare accordingly.

NTA UGC NET June 2026 Selection Process
The result will be prepared on the basis of combined performance in both papers. Candidates will be placed in the following categories:
- JRF + Assistant Professor
- Assistant Professor + PhD Admission
- PhD Admission Only
For PhD admission, the UGC NET score will have 70% weightage, while the interview will carry 30% weightage.
