NTA UGC NET June 2026 Exam Date & Admit Card Released, Check Now

NTA UGC NET June 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the UGC NET June 2026 Admit Card on 17 June 2026 for candidates who registered for the examination. Before this, the UGC NET Exam City Intimation Slip was issued on 10 June 2026, allowing candidates to check their allotted examination city.

Candidates can download the UGC NET June 2026 Admit Card from the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The NTA has also announced a re-examination for three subjects — English, Commerce, and Sociology — which will be conducted on 9 and 10 September 2026.

The UGC NET June 2026 examination will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode at various examination centres across the country. The exam is conducted to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor, and Ph.D. admission. The main examination is scheduled from 22 June to 30 June 2026 on different dates as per the subjects.

Passed / Appearing Master Degree in related subject with Gen / EWS: 55% Marks and OBC / SC / ST / Third Gender: 50% Marks. Candidates with 4-Year Bachelor Degree are also eligible.

NTA UGC NET June 2026 Selection Process

The result will be prepared on the basis of combined performance in both papers. Candidates will be placed in the following categories:

JRF + Assistant Professor
Assistant Professor + PhD Admission
PhD Admission Only

For PhD admission, the UGC NET score will have 70% weightage, while the interview will carry 30% weightage.
